This is for the Henna colour. 100% organzine silk, dry clean only. Woven dimensions approximately 91cm x 91cm.
Wound, warped and woven at the Mill by our heritage silk weavers using our working collection of historic machinery, before being finished by hand in-house.
The ‘Baverstock’ scarf celebrates Joan Baverstock, a skilled silk weaver who worked at Whitchurch Silk Mill for 25 years between 1963 and 1989. During her time at the Mill, Joan became an accomplished weaver, producing silk for Burberry, academic robes, the V&A, and celebrated productions such as Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, and Les Misérables.
Remembered for her skill, dedication and love of the Mill, the ‘Baverstock’ scarf serves as a tribute to Joan; someone whose passion helped shape Whitchurch Silk Mill’s modern history.
A sophisticated arrangement of calm neutrals, rich browns and subtle rose-pink accents. The carefully balanced palette creates a timeless design that is both elegant and versatile, with the silk's natural lustre bringing depth and movement to every shade. Scarf is 100% silk, woven in Hampshire at Whitchurch Silk Mill.
