Elliot Ribbon 0.8m

A creative collaboration between Jane Austen’s House and Whitchurch Silk Mill.

Inspired by the colours and collection of the House, these exclusive edition ribbons have been designed and woven at the Mill, breathing new life into the critically endangered craft of silk ribbon weaving. You can find out more about the project here.

Our highly skilled team of Weaver Tacklers have wound, warped and woven these beautiful silk ribbons using traditional skills and our historical machinery; before trimming each ribbon individually by hand.

This is approx. 0.8m piece of the Elliot ribbon pictured, width approx. 3.8cm. This ribbon will be supplied unboxed. 

Dry clean only and should only be ironed gently using the silk setting. Whitchurch Silk is woven using traditional techniques and historic machinery, as such it is possible that from time to time some characteristics of the loom may be present in our silks.
