A one of a kind Whitchurch Silk shawl, woven here at the Mill before being pleated by the oldest pleaters in the UK. A beautiful piece, destined to make a statement at any occasion.

Using our Victorian and early 20^th century machinery, our small team of highly skilled Weaver Tacklers used traditional silk weaving skills to create this beautiful, artisan silk cloth. From winding bobbins, to hand twisting up to 10,996 ends of a new warp, each time consuming step of the production process was done with care and attention to detail, to ensure a beautifully crafted end result. Every Whitchurch Silk product has it’s own story; whether that be quirks of the historical machinery or marks of the talented maker who’s nurtured it through production.
